It's the most famous and most visited attraction in Denmark.

You would actually expect it to be bigger: the statue is just 1.25 meters high and resides on a rock near the water in Copenhagen harbor.

It's been commissioned in 1909 by Carl Jacobsen, son of the founder of the Carlsberg brand, and it's been created by the sculptor Edward Eriksen.
