In the district of Christianshavn, just across Knippelsbro (i.e. one of the bridges leading across the Copenhagen Harbour) and down a few steps you locate Christian IV named after the Danish King who founded Christianshavn in the early 1600's.

This cosy lunch restaurant served Danish traditional “smørrebrød” (open-face sandwich) and tasteful homemade specialities served with solicitude and honesty. Quality and organic are in the list of high priorities. They are selling there homemade Pickle products.

A must if you want to try out Danish Smørrebrød and a fine place to take the edge off your hunger after a stroll along the canal.
